Fullbean Woodworking Site - Wood Finishes Recipe for Beeswax and Mineral Oil Polish Use the following ratio for mixing Beeswax and Mineral Oil 1 gram of Beeswax for each 5 ml of Mineral Oil Scaling up, mix 30 grams (1 ounce by weight) of Beeswax with 150 ml (5 fluid ounces) of Mineral Oil. This will yield about 6 oz of finished polish Double Boiler Method Add water to a large skillet and heat Place Mineral Oil and solid Beeswax in a pot Place the pot inside the skillet, stirring while to Beeswax melts. Once that the Beeswax has melted, pour the Mineral Oil/Beeswax mixture into a 6 ounce jam jar or similar container for future use Apply the mixture to the wooden piece, rubbing it in thoroughly and then buffing, removing the polish but leaving a shine Fullbean Woodworking Opening Page
