Flour TortillasIngredients 2 cups all-purpose flour ¾ teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, vegetable shortening, or vegetable oil, at room temperature 1½ cup plus 1 tablespoon water Directions Salt the water Heat the water to lukewarm Mix the flour, salt and oil together Aadd the lukewarm water Mix for 1-2 minutes Form the dough into golf ball size balls Place the ball in between two layers of plastic sheets Press with a tortilla press or rolling pin Cook the tortillas one at a time on a dry cast iron skillet for one minute per side Stack cooked tortillas in a tortilla basket or use immediately Return to the Fullbean Recipes Main Page
