English Ale Brewing InstructionsIdeally, use 2.5 gallons of waterHeat to 150-165 degrees F Add grain bag of Barley Steep for 20 minutes Remove bag Boil mixture Add all malt both extract and powdered barley, stirring constantly Sprinkle first bag of hops on top of water Wait 45 minutes Add second bag of hops Total boil time is 60 minutes Transfer liquid to 6.5 gallon container Cool to 70 degrees F Add yeast Take hygrometer reading Install air lock Wait until no more bubbles escape from air lock (Time varies from 2 to 7 days) Transfer to bottling container Add priming sugar Place bottle caps in hot water Bottle
